We are seeking to appoint a Subject External Examiner for the UG Dietetic programmes. These programmes are based within the School of Health Professions, Faculty of Health. The BSc (Hons) Dietetics programme is a full time 3-year undergraduate programme and the MDiet (Hons) Dietetics is a full time 4-year undergraduate programme, successful completion of these programmes leads to eligibility to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This position requires the external examiner to be an accredited Nutritionist and to have a recordable teaching qualification. Ideally you would be a programme lead or university lecturer on an accredited Nutrition programme.
The appointment will be for four years and the commitment required is as follows:
- To review a range of coursework throughout the year.
- To attend via Zoom an assessment panel per year and to submit an annual external examiner report.
- To engage in communication with the programme team.
- To carry out an interim visit per year, either in person or by virtual means, to meet with staff and students to obtain feedback on assessment in practice and to strengthen your engagement with the ongoing teaching, learning and assessment processes.
