The Faculty of Health Studies, School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery at the University of Bradford is looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of external examiner for our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme to commence immediatley for a 4-year term.
This is a well established full time, three year undergraduate pre-registration programme which includes some modules shared by programmes across the School. Radiography at Bradford is in an exciting period of expansion in terms of both resources and staffing. The programme team are preparing for a curriculum re-write for implementation from September 2023.

- The applicant should have appropriate expertise/experience in the areas of diagnostic radiography.
- They will be able to undertake a paid role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education and should be aware of modern developments in the design and delivery of the flexible curriculum.
- The role would be of interest to colleagues with an interest in curriculum development and design.
- The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work, submit an annual report, and attend Examiner Induction and Boards of Examiners as appropriate, virtually if necessary.
- Applicants should not hold more than one other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and will be qualified to at least masters level.
- Previous experience of an External Examining would be adfvantageous, but not essential. Professional development opportunities are available to support new examiners.
- The fee for the role is dependent on student numbers, the annual fee is subject to change annually, but in the first year would be £1,495.00
