We offer an Honours (four years) degree, leading to NMC Registration in Adult Nursing and we are consistently ranked amongst the top Schools for nursing in UK university league tables. The BN (Hons) programme is underpinned with biomedical life sciences that build incrementally to inform knowledge and understanding of the biological basis of human disease and its relevance to nursing theory and person-centred care. We have access to excellent facilities and a wide range of world-renowned experts in their subjects.

The ideal candidate would be experienced in teaching and assessing nursing theory, research, and healthcare ethics on an undergraduate nursing programme. Previous experience of external examining is necessary. The candidate should have current adult registration with the NMC, and a teaching qualification. Possession of a Masters/Honours degree is essential.

The appointment will be for four years, from October 2024 and will cover Nursing courses in Years 1 and 2. Appointments are subject to the University Senate’s criteria for external examiners.

  • Membership and attendance at Boards of Examiners.
