This part-time and distance-learning programme is designed to equip existing health and social care practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to become leaders, and to influence evidence-based changes within their field of dementia care practice.
The MSc Advanced Dementia Studies adopts a human rights perspective to understanding the experience of people living with dementia and encourage multidisciplinary team-working and service user engagement. Experts by Experience are actively involved in the design, teaching and evaluation of our modules.

- Confirming that the assessment process in its entirety is sound, and has been fairly conducted with full regard to justice to students;
- Reporting and advising on the above by means of approving coursework and examination papers and providing an annual report to the University.
The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work and you will also be required to produce an annual report and attend Boards of Examiners as appropriate.
You should have appropriate expertise in dementia and person-centred care research, be able to undertake a role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education and should be aware of modern developments in the design and delivery of the flexible curriculum.
