External Examiner – Adult Nursing with interest in research-based modules

The School of Health and Social Wellbeing at The University of the West of England is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified External Examiner for Adult Nursing who may have a particular interest in research-based modules.

Essential: Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The role requires external moderation of assessments, attendance at the Examination boards, completion of an Annual External Examiners Report and potential consultation on programme modifications. You may also be required to provide scrutiny for our Collaborative Partners. The external examiners operational guide can be accessed by using this link:

We particularly encourage applications from members of Black and Minority Ethnic communities, as this group is currently underrepresented among external examiners.

Programme details will be provided to the appointee and a full induction day will be offered. Further support will be provided by the Programme Leaders and module teams.
