Leeds Trinity University is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the following programme:
- BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult)
The appointment will begin in October 2023 and will run for a period of 4 years.
The successful applicant will advise the programme team, externally moderate student work, and attend assessment panels. The programme will commence from January 2024 and is accredited by the NMC. The External Examiner will also moderate student work at Level 4 on the following programmes for this academic year only; these modules are not field specific and will be taught holistically to students on the following fields:
- BSc (Hons) Nursing (Mental Health)
- BSc (Hons) Nursing (Learning Disabilities)
External Examiners should have appropriate and current standing and experience to ensure the comparability of standards. They should also have appropriate subject and curriculum expertise to enable them to provide specialist feedback. Previous experience as an external examiner would be an advantage, although a mentor can be arranged for those new to the role. A brief induction to the University and to the School of Health and Life Sciences will be provided.
