External Consultants for Programme Approval
MA Person Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice
Edge Hill University (Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine) is seeking to recruit one external consultant and one external panel member for the validation of the following postgraduate degree:
- MA Person Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice
We would encourage academics with relevant subject expertise, who have experience of quality review processes within their own and other Higher Education Institutions, to apply. The Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine is situated within the University’s Ormskirk Campus.
An External Consultant: would be required to review the draft curriculum documentation and provide written comments, which would be provided as supporting evidence at the validation. The consultant would not be required to attend the approval event itself.
Consultation would take place between 6 September 2023 and 22 September 2023.
An External Panel Member would receive documentation prior to the event date and is requested to provide written comments in advance of the event – they would then attend via Teams 1 full day event on: 8 November 2023
Arrangements
Externals involved in validation normally receive a standard fee of £258.60 (equivalent of 20 hours’ work) before tax which is deducted at the standard rate. The entitlement to pro-rata holiday is incorporated in to the hourly rate of pay.

Admission to the University’s Validation process is on the basis of satisfactory completion of the University’s personal approval process, including verification of the right to work in the UK and completion of terms and conditions.
