The University of Bolton, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external advisor to support the team and be a part of the validation panel for a Joint programme approval with the NMC and University of Bolton for the PGDip Specialist Community Practitioner – (General Practice Nursing) Programme.

The External Advisor plays a central role as member of the validation panel. The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing the programme specification, module specification, curriculum design and development and all relevant documentation and will provide a critical review of the proposed curriculum for the PGDip Specialist Community Practitioner – (General Practice Nursing) Programme. They will provide constructive feedback to the Programme’s team. The curriculum has been developed from the NMC Standards (NMC 2022).

The external advisor must be a qualified nurse, ideally with the general practice nurse qualification and a wealth of experience in this field with a current registration with the NMC. They must have a wealth of experience in curriculum planning, design and delivery. Ideally, they must have previous experience of an external advisor or External Examiner.

It is anticipated that the validation event will take place on either the 21st, 22nd or 23rd May 2024. Awaiting NMC confirmation of the exact date.
