The University of Bolton, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external advisor to support the team and be a part of University of Bolton internal period review process and panel member for the BSc Nursing and FDSc Nursing Associate programmes. These programmes are due the University ‘s four – five-year internal review monitoring.

The External Advisor plays a central role as member of the period review panel. The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing the critical self-assessment document, any required changes to programme specifications, module specifications, curriculum design and development and all relevant documentation and will provide a critical review of the proposed curriculum for these programmes. They will provide constructive feedback to the Programme’s team.

The external advisor must be a qualified nurse, and a wealth of experience in this field with a current registration with the NMC. They must have a wealth of experience in curriculum planning, design and delivery. Ideally, they must have previous experience of an external advisor or External Examiner.

It is anticipated that the date of the period review is yet to be agreed, but will be negotiated with all panel members. There will be two events – one for the BSc Nursing and one for the FDSc Nursing associate – applicants to either support both programmes / events or just one event.
