The University of Suffolk is seeking an external academic panel member for the validation of BSc (Hons) Midwifery (Top Up) on 19 July 2023. This event will run approximately 08:15am – 14:00pm online via Microsoft Teams. The event will aim to review this course for delivery by our existing partner Rushmore Business School based in Mauritius (https://www.uos.ac.uk/content/rushmore-business-school-mauritius).
We are seeking an experienced and qualified panel member with a background in teaching Midwifery.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
a) appropriate competence and experience and continuing active involvement in Midwifery,
b) relevant academic and/or professional qualifications, normally to at least the level of the qualification being presented for validation,
c) knowledge and understanding of relevant external reference points for the maintenance of academic standards and assurance and enhancement of quality,
d) competence and recent experience relating to the design and delivery of cognate programmes of study to at least level 6.
To avoid a conflict of interest, we are unable to accept candidates from the following universities:
University of Greenwich
University of East Anglia
University of Essex
As part of your role, you will be expected to provide feedback (via a template) on the documentation in advance of the event, brief guidance notes will be shared with you to support your understanding of the process.
