We are seeking to appoint one new External Examiner with responsibility for End-Point Assessments (EPAs) for our undergraduate apprenticeships (Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Associates). Applicants should be registered with the NMC as an Adult or Mental Health Nurse, have experience of HE teaching and assessing; have experience of the delivery of pre-registration nursing apprenticeship programmes; and have undertaken the role of an external examiner previously.
The role includes:
- attending the Board of Examiners to confirm EPA decisions (usually online meetings)
- ensuring that the EPA gateway requirements have been met
- ensuring that apprentices have successfully completed the EPA
- submission of an annual report
The appointment commences immediately and tenure is for four years. Appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. The annual fee is £400.
