The Faculty of Health Studies, at the University of Bradford, has a rich heritage of providing health and social care education across a wide range of professions, including Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Advanced Practice and Healthcare Leadership.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead a new era of health and social care digital education and research.
The role holder will work across all our education provision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and across theory and placement activity. Leading cross-Faculty and cross-University collaborative working practices in digital health and social care learning environments, embedding innovation and best practice in health and social care curricula. The role holder will work with staff across all disciplines, students, our service user and carer community and our clinical practice partners to develop, implement and evaluate a new strategy for simulation in health and social care education.
The role holder will also make a significant contribution to scholarly and research activity in applied health research in digital technologies, working with Prof. Rebecca Randall, lead for Health Technologies for Quality and Safety.
The launch of this new post for the Faculty coincides with the launch of other leadership roles in Simulation, Practice Education, Academic Quality and Interprofessional Education to maximise opportunities for strategic alignment, particularly for sustainable simulated placement learning opportunities. We have made significant investment in our teaching and learning facilities, and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expert knowledge, experience, motivation, and a skill to drive innovation at scale.
