The Faculty of Health Studies, at the University of Bradford, has a rich heritage of providing health and social care education across a wide range of professions, including Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Advanced Practice and Healthcare Leadership. Many of our programmes are regulated and accredited by external professional, statutory and regulatory (PSRB) bodies.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to work with the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching in providing academic leadership for Academic Quality and Enhancement across all our undergraduate and postgraduate education portfolio. The role holder will apply their skills in driving continual improvement in compliance with academic quality assurance systems and governance processes, with the communication and influencing skills to work with academic teams to continually improve the quality of teaching and learning activity and positively impact on our students’ experiences and academic performance.

The launch of this new post for the Faculty coincides with the launch of other leadership roles in Digital Education, Practice Education, Simulation and Interprofessional Education to maximise opportunities for strategic alignment. In addition, the University has launched the Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Strategy and you will play a key role in the implementation of this across the Faculty and the University, supporting teams to meet their Key Performance Indicators. You will demonstrate a willingness to be future orientated whilst contributing to the Faculty of Health Studies, making use of the different development opportunities available to you. You will contribute to learning and teaching activities aligned with subject expertise, and you will become involved in research opportunities alongside the work of our research Professors.

Our internationally renowned applied health research undertaken in partnership with the NHS is impacting positively on health outcomes locally and regionally and is contributing to knowledge of international significance.
