The School of Nursing seeks to appoint an NMC registered nurse who is educated to post graduate level with excellent understanding and knowledge of key quality and governance issues related to nursing education to the post of Deputy Head of School for pre-registration nursing education.
As a member of the School of Nursing leadership team you will provide professional, collaborative leadership and management for pre-registration nursing programmes within the school ensuring the achievement of excellent standards, evaluating performance and engendering an inclusive culture of co-operation and respect.
A track record of the implementation and review of pre-registration nursing programmes and experience of working with professional, regulatory processes and governance systems is essential to this role. You will have experience of successful academic leadership, programme and curriculum development and the management/co-ordination of resources.
You will be self-confident, resilient and proactive in your approach to challenges and opportunities with an ability to secure the co-operation and support of external stakeholders and understand the opportunities and challenges facing the UK Health Care Higher Education sector
You will have demonstrable ability in leading change and a flare for embracing new ways of working as well as a track record of building and sustaining internal and external relationships.
A commitment to the University mission and an understanding of and commitment to the University’s values as a framework for decisions, actions and behaviours is essential. Experience as an NMC reviewer is desirable in this role.
