About the role:
The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university and pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from foundation degrees to doctoral study. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students are well supported and receive a high quality, evidence-informed, educational experience. We have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our faculty, and are seeking to further develop and support research, innovation and knowledge exchange.
We are recruiting for a Deputy Dean: Practice Learning & Simulation to assume strategic leadership and management of practice learning and simulation across the faculty to plan and manage the practice learning infrastructure in line with relevant PSRB standards and in response to current sector challenges.
With a PhD/Professional Doctorate, significant clinical experience and ongoing evidence of extensive CPD, you will hold a current registration with either the UK NMC or the HCPC with extensive experience of quality assurance processes and PRSB Standards and regulations. You’ll also have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, you’ll demonstrate commitment to our values and development of the faculty.
