Course Leaders are pivotal to the continued drive for excellence across all programmes within CU Coventry. These roles have been created to ensure there is a specific focus on programmes maintaining quality, improving the student experience and keeping abreast of new developments, both globally and regionally. These roles will focus on ensuring there is open and honest communications with all professional support areas; liaising with key individuals to meet expectations to enhance the student experience. Post holders will be at the forefront of working with teams to create programmes that are innovative, produce assignments that challenge and stretch students at all levels and promote other programmes for an increase with internal and external progression.
They will meet regularly with students through forums; respond to the needs of the improvement plan actions and work with their Head of Curriculum to shape areas for the future prosperity of the organisation. Incumbents will be future leaders, ready to embrace a focussed training and development programme; learning the skills and attributes necessary to manage people in a dynamic but emotionally intelligent style.
They will work together across areas, but will also work collaboratively as a collective body to ensure the overall experience for students is excellent. They will be experts in their fields, keen to continue to develop, and embed research proposals for themselves and their teams to shape the future curriculum and improve academic rigour.
