This is an exciting time to join the University of Derby’s newly formed School of Psychology. Within the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care, the school is home to the Discipline of Forensic Psychology. Offering high quality, British Psychological Society accredited programmes, Forensic Psychology at Derby is gaining in reputation, a position we are determined to build upon through further expansion of our on-campus and on-line portfolio.

Shaping the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programmes (both in the UK and overseas), you will help to position us as the pre-eminent university in our field. Equally importantly, you will champion research into novel and emerging theories to keep us at the forefront of original thinking. In short, as a powerful catalyst for change, you will be an exceptional professional, capable of inspiring your colleagues, and sharing in our deep passion for Forensic Psychology and the contribution it can make to society.

As the University of Derby has a strong commitment to enabling staff to engage in scholarship, you will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline or appropriate level of Professional Practice experience. In addition you must be a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist or be eligible for these. You will have excellent contacts within the field of Forensic Psychology and hold an impressive research record. In particular, you should be adept at working within the IRAS framework. Fellowship of the HEA is desirable or you must be prepared to work towards this.
