The University of Worcester is a high achieving, award-winning, dynamic institution set within an inclusive and engaged community. The number one University in England for gender equality, according to the last three years of the Times Higher Education’s University Impact Rankings, with multiple accolades for teaching quality, inclusion, contribution to the community, and environmental sustainability, the University has been shortlisted as Times Higher Education University of the Year three times in recent years. One of the best Universities for health education, Worcester has created the distinctive Three Counties Medical School (TCMS), aiming to widen access to careers in medicine and retain graduates in the local area.
This is an exciting time to join the University, as the MSc Physician Associate Programme which has been successfully running for a number of years at the University, has recently moved Schools to join the new Three Counties Medical School, aligning the courses requiring GMC regulation.
We are seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer to contribute to the development and the delivery of Physician Associate education.
You should be an experienced academic with a related Biomedical Science background, with specific knowledge in the areas of physiology, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology. It is expected that you enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and have a passion for developing and teaching healthcare students.
If you are interested in joining us at this exciting time and would relish the challenge of playing a part in the future development of the programme and the Three Counties Medical School as we train the next generation of healthcare professionals, we welcome your application.
NB. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. If only an element of this work if offered which does not involve additional preparation and administration a standard hourly rate will apply, currently £19.23 plus £4.23 holiday pay.
