About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University College as an Associate Lecturer at a key stage in its development in a position that allows you to continue to work clinically but share your expertise in developing others through teaching and assessment. AECC University College is expanding its portfolio of workforce development /post – registration educational provision aimed at healthcare professionals. This will include the delivery of an Advanced Clinical Practice course, PGCert First Contact Practice, PGCert Health Sciences Education and a number of standalone unit options that allow people to work towards a MSc Professional Practice. We are creating a clinical faculty to support us with the delivery of this provision, by recruiting a wide range of clinical experts to develop the knowledge, skills and capability of the healthcare workforce. This role can be undertaken doing a variety of hours and working patterns which will be individually negotiated.

About the Person

Applicants should have a passion for teaching and developing others. Applicants should be registered healthcare professionals with significant clinical experience in their field of clinical practice (5+ years), ideally with a Masters qualification in a relevant subject. Excellent interpersonal skills, patience and the ability to work well as a member of a team are essential qualities. They will have relevant experience of clinical practice or academic teaching, with knowledge of the current evidence base to support student’s education and a commitment to an evidence-based education for students.
