The University of Bolton is a “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed” higher education institution whose distinctive high quality, student-focussed, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes attract students from all over the world.
Our staff are at the heart of everything we do: they are highly qualified and experienced in their fields, supporting their teaching practice by carrying out quality research and engaging in continuous professional development. Staff pride themselves on being outstanding professionals that provide excellent learning (including distance learning), teaching and applied research and support in the provision of custom-designed, industry led courses in numerous subject areas.
The School of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences has a strong reputation and expertise in developing Advanced Practitioners within the North-West, and our Advanced Clinical Practice programmes are accredited by Health Education England.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking clinicians to join our teaching team to contribute and teach on our clinical focused post graduate programmes. In addition to academic teaching responsibilities, you will also work closely with clinical colleagues in local NHS Trusts and organisations to support students during clinical learning experiences.
You will have a first degree and post-graduate qualification in a relevant area together with strong clinical knowledge, healthcare experience and an understanding of advanced practice roles. You will have a strong understanding of current changes in health care practice and evolving developments in clinical practice. HCPC/NMC or equivalent registration is desirable.
We are committed to teaching excellence and we’re keen to hear from you whether you are just embarking upon an academic career, seeking a new challenge, or a seasoned academic.
Should you wish to have an informal discussion about any of the roles, please contact Simon Booth in HR on s.booth@bolton.ac.uk or 01204 90 3503.
