About You
An experienced educator and leader, you will have a credible professional standing and influence within the academic community with demonstrable and effective leadership skills. You will also have an excellent track-record in output of research, publications or credible engagement.
You will support staff development to enhance teaching practice and will be able to lead and innovate in the maintenance and enhancement of academic quality and professional standards. Evidence of engagement within the wider academic and professional community is also essential.
To be successful, you will support the diverse academic and personal needs of students to provide a high-quality student experience and will lead and support the development of research and scholarship within the Midwifery team.
About the Role
A successful applicant to Associate Head of Midwifery will inspire best practice, the delivery of high-quality student experience and inspire staff development.
You will act as a key leader and expert advisor within the department, and work closely with the Associate Deans, Heads of School / Department and other senior colleagues to help shape all aspects of departmental management and strategy, and maintaining excellent standards in all aspects of Learning, Teaching & Assessment.
