The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and ambitious HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team of academics delivering excellent and visionary pre-registration occupational therapy courses. We have been successful in growing our provision and due to recent promotions within the team are seeking to recruit to two academic posts. You will be joining an outstanding team of nearly 40 occupational therapists and we offer a range of courses including BSc, MSc and Integrated Degree Apprenticeships in Coventry and London and will be the first University to deliver a MSc OT apprenticeship (pre-registration) in January 2022.
Our occupational therapy team are one of the largest in the country and work collaboratively with a wide range of health care professions within the Faculty of Health and Life sciences and now benefit from new, ‘state of the art’ health science simulation facilities, a £60M+ investment. The successful candidate will possess an excellent understanding of their specialist area of practice/education and be able to demonstrate research and evidence-informed practice within that area. At Assistant Professor level, applicants should be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise holding a higher degree in an occupational therapy or related subject and be registered with the HCPC. Experience of teaching students, either within a HEI or as a clinical educator, would be advantageous.
The salary is dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the individual. Job descriptions will be available upon request from the Human Resources Department when applying for the post.
The University offers academic and professional development and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for Lecturers who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification.
