Due to the continued success and growth of the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme, at Coventry University, we are seeking to recruit a committed individual, with paediatric experience, who would value the opportunity to be involved in the education of the next generation of paediatric advanced clinical practitioners.

Applicants must be a paediatric advanced clinical practitioner themselves with at least three-year’s experience in the role, who can deliver high quality and innovative teaching and who can lead the MSc Children and Young People Advanced Clinical Practice pathway. They should hold a recognised MSc Advanced Clinical Practice degree and have current registration with their relevant professional body.

Applicants should ideally have experience of teaching and learning in advanced clinical practice, including all four-pillar activity (HEE 2017). Experience of delivering academic education and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable, but not essential.

As an Assistant Professor you would be required to undertake and lead curriculum development and innovation and be continually looking to improve course content and paediatric provision.

Supporting the course director with all aspects of course management will be required including student monitoring, the promotion and marketing of the course, and support for recruitment and admission activities as necessary.

The University offers academic and professional development and the opportunity to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.
