Independent Assessors required for MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Degree Apprenticeship (End Point Assessment) The School of Clinical & Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bolton is seeking to appoint 3 x Independent Assessors for the End Point Assessment (EPA) on the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Degree Apprenticeship.

The Advanced Clinical Practice programme is for experienced, registered healthcare practitioners delivering advanced clinical practice who wish to learn advanced skills in the management of episodes of care for their client group. Informed by current practice and research, the programme supports apprentices to combine expert clinical skills with research, education and clinical leadership within their scope of practice.

There are seven different pathways available to apprentices: Generic, Acute Medicine, Mental Health, Primary care, Respiratory, Geriatric Medicine, and Oncology. Delivered at level 7, the End Point Assessment (EPA) forms the final 20 credits of this 180 credit integrated degree apprenticeship and is the focus of this role.

Independent Assessor(s) will conduct and grade EPAs in accordance with the University of Bolton’s Integrated End Point Assessment plan and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) regulations and as outlined in the Advanced Clinical Practitioner End Point Assessment Plan (ST0564).

The ‘Independent Assessor’ role is distinct from both the ‘External Assessor’ role, which involves providing quality assurance oversight of the EPA, and the ‘External Examiner’ role, which involves having oversight of the degree apprenticeship programme in its entirety.
