An opportunity has arisen at the Open University for experienced academics to contribute to the authoring of our Advanced Clinical Practice online distance learning modules (Level 7). This will be on a consultancy basis. The number of days to be determined depending on the work undertaken.

Requirements

You will need to be:

  • registered with one of the health professions – NMC, HCPC or GPhC
  • have experience of teaching and learning in Higher Education
  • have knowledge and understanding of Advanced Clinical Practice

Description

  • You should be able meet the following role deliverables:
  • write learning materials that reflect post graduate level study
  • adapt existing learning resources to reflect the Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship Standard Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
  • review your learning materials and that of others based on feedback from the programme team
  • work collaboratively with team members to develop the End Point Assessment preparation materials for the Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship
  • attend on-line team meetings with the programme team

Focus of the work

The work to be developed covers a range of topic areas presented through the context of Advanced Clinical Practice. The programme team will be able to support where further understanding of the Advanced Clinical Practice context is needed in relation to the module.

Topics:

  • Service improvement
  • Policy, evidence and research literature review
  • Change management strategies and tools
  • Leadership strategies for change management
  • Preparation for End Point Assessment

Contract arrangements
This work will be undertaken from your home with meetings undertaken or MS Teams.
The work will take place with immediate commencement and will need to be completed between April and October 2022.
The fee is £157.40 per day via a consultancy contract.
The number of days to be confirmed depending on the topics to be authored by the consultant and their availability to undertake the work.
