The School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Adult Nursing (Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP)) to contribute to teaching, research, enterprise and knowledge exchange within the Department of Nursing & Midwifery (School of Health & Life Sciences). The successful post holder will work across the adult nursing curriculums, including full time Degree and apprenticeship courses.

The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder.

The post holder must be a registered Nurse and registered with the NMC. A first degree, within a relevant subject is essential. The postholder will also need a Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications or significant clinical experience within Adult Nursing. You will utilise your knowledge to contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement. Applicants must hold or willing to achieve a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation alongside a Membership of a relevant professional body / Registered professional in the discipline / equivalent level of professional practice.
