External examiner responsibilities include moderation of assessment methods/samples/results and completion of an annual report. A schedule of module confirmation events per academic session will be made available and external examiners would be expected to complete external moderation in line with these dates. Attendance at the examination board at least once a year is expected.
Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualification(s) and experience. Relevant professional experience in advanced practice, independent and supplementary prescribing, professional registration, and teaching qualification, are essential requirements for this post.
