CoDH response to HEE consultation on the Long-Term Strategic Framework

The Council has responded to Health Education England’s (HEE) consultation on the Long-Term Strategic Framework for Health and Social Care Planning. The Council highlighted key drivers of change including workforce demographics, public funding and blended learning as well as significant supply gaps such as specific profession numbers, placements shortages, and research capacity.

The consultation will review, renew and update HEE’s Framework 15 published in 2014 to to help ensure the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours to deliver world leading clinical services. A series of virtual engagement events are expected to be held during 2021-22.
