Council of Deans of Health Scotland
The Council of Deans of Health Scotland is the independent and strategic voice of education and research for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in Scotland’s universities.
The group meets quarterly, online and in-person, and our members are involved in:
- Providing educational solutions to workforce challenges in health and social care
- Educating the next generation of healthcare professionals
- Contributing to world class research and innovation
- Working with organisations across Scotland to promote the contribution of education and research to high quality care

Namita Srivastava
Policy Officer
Namita joined the Council in June 2024, having previously worked as a research associate in higher education and as a business support officer for NHS England. She holds a degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s in Social Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London.
