The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established pre-registration adult nursing team. The post holder will:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative, evidence-based teaching and simulation activities aligned with the NMC (2018) Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses.
- Teach across undergraduate and postgraduate pre-registration programmes at both our West London and Reading campuses, with opportunities to contribute to CPD and interprofessional learning.
- Foster strong partnerships with healthcare providers across Berkshire and London to ensure our programmes remain responsive to evolving healthcare needs.
- Support student (including apprentices) success in both academic and clinical learning environments, acting as a course leader, personal tutor, and academic assessor.
- Engage in scholarly activity, research, and knowledge exchange to enhance the academic profile of the College and provide leadership within the team.

The Person
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced academic with a strong background in adult nursing and nursing education. The ideal candidate will:
- Be a registered Adult nurse with the NMC and hold a recognised teaching qualification in Higher Education.
- Possess a Master’s degree (or Doctorate) in nursing or a related healthcare field.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the NMC Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses and the Standards for Supervision and Assessment.
- Have experience in curriculum development, teaching, and supporting students in higher education.
- Bring excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across academic and clinical teams.
- Show a commitment to evidence-based practice, innovation in teaching, and continuous professional development including publications.
