Salary: UH7 Lecturer: £38,784 pa to £46,049 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
UH8 Senior Lecturer: £46,049 pa to £58,225 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will contribute to the development, delivery of innovative, flexible teaching and learning, providing high quality, accessible and student focused learning opportunities in Adult Nursing. At Senior Lecturer level, duties include the adoption of module leadership and evaluation.

You will use effective learning techniques to engage and support students, including supporting recruitment and assessment as required. Research, publications and presenting are important elements of the role. We embody a collaborative and compassionate ethos which you will contribute to, whilst building effective working relationships with local partners and external agencies.

Skills and experience required
The ideal candidate will be an Adult Nurse, with current registration with the NMC, possess breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in nursing to work within established teaching programmes. Experience in supporting student learning in either a practice or classroom setting, with the ability to use a range of teaching and learning techniques to engage and inspire students.

It is vital to have knowledge of current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency and also experience of evidence-informed teaching and practice-based teaching. You will demonstrate evidence of teamworking and working autonomously as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maturity, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to issues related to equality, diversity and inclusion will be essential, alongside a flexible, proactive approach and a willingness to continue developing your own skills

Qualifications required
UH7 Lecturer post will be educated with a degree, or equivalent level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline.
UH8 Senior Lecturer post will be educated with a degree, or equivalent level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. In addition, you will hold a level 7 qualification (such as PgDip or Masters) in a relevant subject area and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
