Lecturer in Mental Health
Salary: AC2 £42,254- £50,253 per annum pro rata
Full time: 21 hours per week

The University of West of Scotland are recruiting for a Lecturer in Mental Health to join the department of Mental Health, Midwifery and Health Division within the School of Health and Life Sciences.

The successful applicant will support the delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Division, as well as contributing to the wider educational portfolio through subject specialism. They will also play a key part in contributing to the enhancement of the student experience.

The postholder will commence in a mentored capacity and be supported to develop in their University teaching and research career. Teaching will primarily focus on the delivery of established modules and they will be supported to engage in teaching methods and assessment strategies to support student learning, and Higher Education teaching proficiency, reflective of best practice. As well as this they will be supported and encouraged to engage with research related activity.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Professional registration (NMC or HCPC)
  • Relevant Masters degree (or nearing completion – must complete within 12 months of commencement [essential])
  • Experience in the discipline to maintain ability to work within established research/teaching programmes.
  • Support the delivery of education and learning in the health and social care environment.
