The School of Health and Social Care within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science at Swansea University is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the above nursing programme (level 6 & 7) with a view to an immediate start and for an initial four-year period. The programme consists of two level 7 modules that utilise a range of assessment strategies (Module codes: SHNM52 and SHNM53). The commissioned programme aligns to the CCN3 Step 2 and 3 competency framework and has excellent links with our practice partners.
The successful applicant will be asked to attend one examination board per year and submit an annual report following this. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience of delivering post-registration programmes
- Current NMC registration on the appropriate part of the register
- Experience in critical care nursing
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience as an external examiner – applications from individuals new to the role are welcomed and support will be provided.
