Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £46,115 up to £52,597 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

The Role
As Assistant Professor for the Post Qualifying MSc Nursing Programme, you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students and our apprentices have an effective learning experience. Assistant Professors lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Duties include:
- Leading the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development
- Providing a coaching and mentorship approach to both students and academic colleagues
- Undertaking the role of Project Supervisor and supporting colleagues new to Project Supervision
Qualifications Required
- Active and live NMC registration
- Master’s degree in an appropriate subject professional qualification and/or membership
- A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Nursing with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the subject area.
