The Role: Shaping the Future of Clinical Psychology
This is a pivotal moment to join us. As Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Clinical Psychology (Clinical Lead), you will do more than teach, you will actively shape the clinical workforce of tomorrow.
Operating within our new agile structure, you will join a team dedicated to innovation, working across a collaboration between Coventry University, the University of Warwick, and NHS partners. You will champion a “student-first” culture, ensuring that our trainees do not just learn, but undergo a transformative educational experience that prepares them to lead in a changing healthcare landscape.
This role is strategically designed as a part-time opportunity to support a high-level portfolio career. We actively encourage you to maintain your external clinical hours alongside this position, ensuring you remain grounded in current practice while leading the next generation of psychologists.
Our Successful Candidate
Beyond credentials, you will be an innovator with a passion to share your expertise and empower the future of Clinical Psychology. You are an excellent teacher capable of engaging diverse student audiences at various levels, inspiring them not just to learn the course material but to challenge the norm and push the boundaries for the future.
You will be a qualified Clinical Psychologist holding a DClinPsy (or equivalent) with current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist. You will bring a robust academic foundation to the team alongside either a formal teaching qualification or extensive experience in delivering professional/ university education.
