Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £32,942 up to £37,087 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

The Role

As an Assistant Lecturer (Teaching) in Nursing you will undertake teaching and assessment activities while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional course and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Your role will be focused on supporting our Adult Nursing Course and/ or Children and Young Peoples Nursing course.

Duties include:

  • Leading the curation, adaptation, design and development of course teaching materials.
  • Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4, 5, 6 and 7 in relevant academic subject areas.
  • Supporting the design, implementation, ratification and quality assurance processes related to student assessment.

Qualifications Required

  • A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held.You will have experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult and or Children’s Nursing either within Higher Education or within the clinical practice environment.
  • NMC Registration in Nursing (Current and Active) as an adult or children’s nurse is essential for this role. A dual qualification in adult and children’s nursing would be advantageous.
  • An Honours Degree in an appropriate/ relevant subject area with professional qualification.
  • You can demonstrate a high standard of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
  • You will have a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting students in their learning journey, both in clinical practice and in the classroom, with the ability to work flexibly to meet learner needs.
