The Role
As an Assistant Lecturer (Teaching) in Clinical Nursing Skills based within the School of Health and Care, you will support the design and delivery of undergraduate skills and simulation teaching across our portfolio of Health Care courses. There will be a primary focus on supporting our undergraduate Nursing courses alongside other core activities ensuring students have an effective and supportive learning experience.
Duties include:
- Leading the design and development of course teaching materials.
- Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4, 5, 6 and 7 in relevant academic subject areas.
- Undertaking the role of Academic Assessor.
Qualifications Required
- NMC Registration in Nursing (Current and Active) is essential for this role.
- An Honours Degree in an appropriate/ relevant subject area with professional qualification
- A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement
Our Successful Candidate
This role would suit candidates with experience teaching at higher education level or candidates from a professional clinical background with evidence of high-quality presentation skills plus coaching or mentoring other professionals and nursing students. A teaching qualification, or willingness to acquire one, is essential for this role.
