CoDH response to OfS consultation on quality and standards conditions

Post
Nations:

The Council has responded to the Office for Students’ consultation on quality and standards conditions. This examines how the regulator can ensure high-quality courses and reliable standards.
The Council highlighted the risk of duplication between healthcare professional and higher education regulators. Healthcare professional regulators’ standards must take precedence over other regulatory bodies, as they control entry to professional registers for the benefit of public protection. They are also best placed to determine if a programme is a risk to the public due to their professional expertise
