Social Care Student and Early Careers Network

A dedicated space for student nurses, nursing associates, and newly qualified nurses passionate about social care, developed in support with Skills for Care.

The Social Care Student and Early Careers Network is your opportunity to connect, learn, and grow within a supportive community of like-minded professionals.

What the network offers

  • Peer support and networking with others exploring careers in adult social care.
  • Themed discussions, guest speakers, and shared learning to enhance your professional development.
  • A collective voice to raise awareness and promote social care nursing as a rewarding career path.
  • Collaboration opportunities with educators, employers, and national organisations.

Joining the Social Care Network

Membership is open to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Are currently enrolled in a nursing degree programme at a Higher Education Institution (HEI), training as a nursing associate, or are within two years of initial NMC registration (newly qualified nurse)
  • Have an interest in, or experience with, social care placements or employment
  • Membership is open to individuals residing or training/employed in England

We will be meeting three times a year, with the first meeting taking place in person on 5 November 2025. We would encourage you to attend as many meetings as possible to make the most of the opportunities the network offers.
