Supporting Members in Shaping Political Conversations

Following the new strategy and announcements at the Autumn Conference, the Council is pleased to launch its new Political Engagement Network (PEN). This network is a space for all members interested in advocating for their institutions and the Council to politicians at Westminster, devolved and local levels.

Members of the Political Engagement Network meet to develop, share ideas, and interest in how politics affects our work as well as receive support and resources from the Council to facilitate their engagement. Members are welcome to join this network to maximise the Council’s political reach, whether newcomers or more experienced.

The PEN builds on ongoing political engagement including during the last General Election, attendance at major party conferences and the Council’s inaugural parliamentary reception. With the Council supporting engagement work ahead of the Scottish and Welsh devolved elections, the PEN will tap into member interest in building wider capacity to engage political decisionmakers across the United Kingdom.

Members interested in joining can express interest by filling out the form below.
