Urgent External Examiner for BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Competitive salary of £200 annual flat fee, plus £6 for each student completer.

The School of Health Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Programme.

2. External examiner responsibilities, regulations and requirements:

a) Responsibilities:
External examiner responsibilities include external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at Examination boards (at least one per year). The School uses an electronic marking system. Examiners are required to make use of the system during the external moderation process.

b) Criteria and restrictions for the appointment of external examiners:

All appointments are subject to candidate(s) meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.

c) Requirements:
Applicants should the hold appropriate academic qualifications, including, a teaching qualification (minimum of PGCHE or equivalent) and a BSc or higher-level qualification and professional registration.

It is preferable to have previous experience of external examining although support and guidance can be supplied for those new to this role.

The appointment will start immediately and will be for a period of 4 years.
