Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is seeking to appoint an external panel member to support an upcoming Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) reapproval event in October 26 (dates to be confirmed by the NMC) and also to attend an internal stakeholder meeting in June 26. The programmes will be delivered by the Institute of Health and Allied Health Professions at our Clifton and Mansfield Campuses, which form part of the School of Social Sciences.
The external panel member will be required to:
- Review programme documentation in advance of the event
- Participate in an internal stakeholder event and the NMC reapproval event
- Contribute expert, independent scrutiny in line with NMC standards for education and training
- Support the panel in reaching a recommendation regarding approval of the proposed reapproval
Essential criteria:
- Current or recent experience in pre-registration nursing education and the ability to apply this over both apprenticeship and traditional delivery modes and across the three fields of practice involved
- Sound knowledge of NMC standards and requirements
- Previous experience of programme approval
- No conflict of interest with NTU
An honorarium and expenses will be paid in accordance with institutional policy. All appointments depend on the candidate fulfilling the University’s criteria for selection, as outlined in section 9 of the University’s Quality Handbook.
