The University of Cumbria is seeking to appoint two External Examiners for the Practice Development Framework with effect from 1st March 2026.

Interested applicants must have an active NMC/HCPC registration and ideally experience of external examining in at least one other Higher Education Institution but this is not compulsory. The standard term is four years, but this can be reviewed.

Please note that we are unable to accept applications from you if:-

• You are a current external examiner within the University of Cumbria
• You are currently professionally involved with members of the programme team
• You have been an external examiner at the University or employed by the University or at one of its associate institutions within the previous eight years
