External Examiner – Return to Nursing Practice, Ulster University

Institution:

Ulster University are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified External Examiner for a Return to Nursing Practice Course (Adult, Child, Learning Disability and Mental Health branches), based within the School of Nursing and Paramedic Science.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Review samples of student work including assignment and practice learning documentation
  • Confirm and comment on marks and moderation for exam boards and in an annual report
  • Attend exam boards (virtually)
  • Review and comment on programme modifications

Applicants should demonstrate the ability to meet the following criteria:

  • Currently registered with NMC
  • Presently employed in a HEI with experience and competence in one or more of the above fields
  • Hold at least a Master’s qualification in a relevant area
  • Preferably have previous experience of moderation at EE level
  • Preferably have membership of The Higher Education Academy

This appointment is for 4 years. The closing date is Friday 6 March, 5pm.
