External Examiner – Postgraduate Health Programmes (University of Gloucestershire)

The University of Gloucestershire is seeking an External Examiner for a portfolio of postgraduate health programmes, including:

  • Level 6: Enhanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship
  • Level 7: Advanced Practice Apprenticeship
  • Level 7: Advanced Practice MSc
  • Level 7: Practice Specialist MSc
  • Level 7: Practice Education MSc
  • Level 7: Practice Leadership MSc
  • Level 7: Practice Leadership and Management MSc

We invite applications from experienced academics with a strong background in advanced healthcare practice. Applicants should have experience of teaching and assessment within UK higher education and a sound understanding of quality assurance processes, including the QAA Quality Code. Relevant subject expertise across the programmes is essential.

Previous experience as an External Examiner is desirable but not required.

The appointment will commence on 1 October 2026 and will run for four academic years.

  • Have been an External Examiner at the University of Gloucestershire within the past five years
  • Are professionally involved with members of the course team
  • Have been employed or studied at the University within the past five years
  • Are unable to demonstrate your right to work in the UK
