External Examiner – Postgraduate Dietetics and Nutrition in Practice

The School of Health at Leeds Beckett University is looking to appoint an External Examiner for our postgraduate Dietetics, Dietetics (Top Up) and Nutrition in Practice programmes, to join a team of four examiners. The post starts in November 2025 for four years.

Applicants should be Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Dietetic Association (BDA) accredited or equivalent and be working in UK Higher Education with experience of teaching and examining at postgraduate level. Previous experience of external examining is not necessary as the University will provide online induction training and a mentor. External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University. The appointment is subject to approval by the University’s Scrutiny process. The current fee for an External Examiner is £400 per annum, plus reasonable expenses. Due to potential reciprocity issues, we are unable to appoint from the following institutions:

  • Cardiff Metropolitan University
