External Examiner – MSc Nutrition and Dietetics (pre-reg)

The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull wishes to appoint an External Examiner for our MSc Nutrition and Dietetics programme and associated modules.

The duties of the position are as follows:

  • Consideration and moderation of students’ assessments of theory and practice learning
  • Submission of an External Examiner’s Annual Report
  • Membership and attendance at Boards of Examiners
  • Collaboration with programme directors, module leaders and administrative colleagues to inform the continued monitoring, review and enhancement of these programmes

External examiner appointments are typically for a period of four years and the appointment is for the start of the 2026 academic year. Applicants would preferably have relevant experience and knowledge of post-graduate level programmes, dietetics as a subject area, and be a HCPC registered dietitian. However, other applicants may be considered. Appointment is subject to meeting the university’s criteria for the appointment of External Examiners.
