We are looking for an external examiner to support quality assurance processes for our MSc Nursing (pre-registration) programme at the University of Lincoln. This Masters-level programme supports both Adult and Mental Health fields, with a Child field validated but temporarily on pause. The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing a range of modules (15 or 30 credits) delivered at level 7, with the final transition from our previous programme to the newly validated one completing in December 2026.

- the approval of assessment tasks and examination papers,
- discussions with relevant academic staff,
- the review of samples of student work on modules within the programme, including practice documents / visits,
- the endorsement of marks to confirm that the marks are an agreed, fully moderated, and externally examined set of results,
- the submission of annual reports,
- attendance at appropriate boards of examiners,
- scrutiny of and agreement to programme modifications.
Ideal applicants should possess the following:
- Current NMC registration (any field),
- A recognised teaching qualification in HE,
- Experience of masters level education,
- Relevant experience in HE to maintain comparable quality standards.
