The University of Greater Manchester, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the BSc Nursing (Hons) (Adult) Programme (Higher Apprenticeship Route and Self-Funded Route)
The successful candidate will externally examine the BSc programme for the University of Greater Manchester.
External examiners play a central role in the maintenance of the standards of the University’s awards and the currency of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be required to review a selection of samples for designated modules within the programme and complete a module external examiner report for each set of assessments reviewed. At the end of the academic year, you will complete an annual report. Attendance at exam boards (may be face to face or virtual) is also required.
The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing modules that are to be delivered at levels 4, 5 and 6.
The post will commence from December 2025. External examiner appointments are typically for a period of four years.
We are seeking applicants with relevant experience and knowledge of similar programmes at this level and experience of external examining is preferred, but support will be provided for those new to the role.
All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment and must have Right to Work in the UK.
