CU Health and Care at Coventry University wishes to appoint an External Examiner to support our current team of External Examiners for modules within the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course.
Coventry University offers an External Examiner Induction session and support is provided by the Programme Lead and School Quality Assurance Team.
As an External Examiner you will be expected to;
- examine/moderate theses;
- assess/undertake Vivas (usually in June & October);
- complete an annual External Examining Report;
- attend two Board of Examiners meetings each year, either virtually or in person
Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to External Examiners:
- The area of expertise of External Examiners is within the area of assessment undertaken;
- Applicants should have recently been employed (or are still employed) within a university appointment;
- Applicants must not have been a Coventry University Examiner or employee within the last five years;
- Applicants will have a qualification registered with the HCPC as practitioner psychologist and a commitment to interprofessional education;
- Experience of being an External Examiner is desirable but not essential.
